The worshop will be held in German language

Tue – Thu / 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. / 11 August – 13 August 2026 (three days)

Are trees art? What significance do plants have? How were they viewed in the past by the Old Masters and how do we view them today? And what do plants and trees actually need from us? Starting at the Kulturforum tree nursery, you will discover plants in the environment and in art. You will visit the Gemäldegalerie and the Neue Nationalgalerie. Together, you will try out a variety of materials and techniques and be inspired to create your own green artworks.

The holiday programme is part of the event programme of the Kulturforum Tree Nursery, a project of the St. Matthäus Foundation in cooperation with the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. The project is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cooperation and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
