Football Cultural Summer at the Kulturforum: The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin are on the Ball

A multifaceted cultural and entertainment programme is on offer throughout the entire Berlin capital during the Football Cultural Summer that is part of the EURO 2024 Festival for the UEFA European Championship. On three days in June and July 2024, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is participating with an event programme at the Kulturforum organised around the football theme.

The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Hosts the Football Cultural Summer at the Kulturforum

19 June: Kick-Off!
On Wednesday, 19 June 2024, the “Arena of Diversity” opens at the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts).
4 July: The Emperor’s New Clothes
On Thursday, 4 July 2024, the Kunstgewerbemuseum presents Franz Beckenbauer’s 1967 Berlin tracksuit for the first time ‒ featured in a talk with Philipp Köster (11 Freunde football magazine).
7 July: 5 x 2 + 1 = The Best Eleven!
On admission-free Museum Sunday, 7 July 2024, an entire series of events takes place around the football topic and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin collections at the Kulturforum. Short tours and drop-in workshops take place at the Gemäldegalerie, the Kunstbibliothek (Art Library), the Kunstgewerbemuseum, the Neue Nationalgalerie, and in the special exhibition hall and the tree nursery at the Kulturforum.

The “Fußballsommer am Kulturforum” (Football Summer at the Kulturforum) is being held as part of the Fußballkultursommers Berlin 2024 (Football Cultural Summer in Berlin, 2024), organised by Kulturprojekte Berlin.
