On the occasion of the exhibition Camille Claudel and Bernhard Hoetger. Emancipation from Rodin, the Alte Nationalgalerie has developed a presentation to explain the process of a bronze casting to visitors. In cooperation with the Berlin foundry Bildgießerei H. NOACK, the ‘Berlin Bear’ by Renée Sintenis is used to show how the two processes of sand casting and lost wax casting work. The videos illustrate the processes in their successive steps and were filmed in the foundry in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
