Since 19 April 2024, more than 200,000 visitors have already seen the current special exhibition, Caspar David Friedrich: Infinite Landscapes, at the Alte Nationalgalerie on Berlin‘s Museumsinsel. In the final week of the presentation, opening hours are again being extended: from Tuesday, 30 July to Sunday, 4 August 2024, the exhibition is open daily, 9 am ‒ 9 pm.

The exhibition presents over 60 paintings and more than 50 drawings that Friedrich made in Germany and abroad, including world-renowned icons, such as Das Eismeer (The Sea of Ice, 1823‒24), Kreidefelsen auf Rügen (Chalk Cliffs on Rügen,1818‒19), Hünengrab im Schnee (Cairn in Snow, 1807) and the DieLebensstufen (The Stages of Life, 1834).

Longer Opening Hours Further Extended for the Exhibition’s Finale

Currently, until Sunday, 28 July 2024, the exhibition is open Tuesday‒Saturday, 9 am‒8 pm, and Sundays, 9 am‒6 pm. From Tuesday, 30 July, until Sunday, 4 August 2024, extended opening hours are 9 am‒9 pm daily. Time-slot tickets are available via the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Online Ticket Shop.
