The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is improving its online services and increasing the availability of advance booking

The Staatliche Museen zu Berlinis expanding its advance booking services: effective immediately, in addition to entrance tickets, tickets for public tours and gallery talks will also be available for advance purchase.

There are more than 100 events to choose from on www.smb.museum each month, ranging in topic from prehistory and early history to contemporary art. Those who would like to plan their museum visit in advance can avoid waiting times at the ticket office and be sure of securing a place at the event of their choosing by booking online.    

From now on, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin will also be offering tickets for their public events and entrance cards for all museums for purchase through various distribution partners. Tourists will be able to acquire tickets for exhibitions and events in six different locations at visitBerlin's tourist information centres. The interface of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin's online shop will additionally allow many hotels to sell guests tickets directly at the reception desk. Other partners will use the interface to put museum offers on their websites, where they may be purchased directly through their own online shops. The Staatliche Museen zu Berlinis thereby expanding its advance purchase services while simultaneously making their public events program accessible to a wider audience.    

Education and outreach at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin    
The department of Education, Outreach and Visitor Services is the central educational institution of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. It is entrusted with designing and implementing the education program for all 15 collections. Through a diverse offering of events, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin aims to reach a range of audiences: children and family, youth and adults, day-care centres, schools, universities and other educational institutions, individual visitors and groups of visitors.
