The Backstories series tells remarkable object histories about works from the collections of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. This episode is about the beautiful Alhambra dome, which the German banker and Orient connoisseur Arthur von Gwinner brought to Berlin from Granada at the end of the 19th century. The object is in the collection of the Museum of Islamic Art in the Pergamon Museum.
