The Pergamonmuseum express its deepest condolences to those who lost their lives as a result of state violence in the context of the recent protests in Iran, and to their families. May their deaths not have been in vain. The time for a fundamental liberalization of politics and society is long overdue. A regime that terrorizes its own citizens has no legitimacy.
