22.10.2004 to 30.01.2005
This second exhibition of the Museum for Photography again questions the boundaries between photography and other genres.
In the Kaisersaal the film-/video installation The Johanna-Cycle of the Munich artists-duo M+M is projected on six screens. Voices and images superimpose themselves on each other in this drama of jealousy and identity. And yet a superordinate structure dominates, through the synchronic application of cinematic techniques.
On 7th December 2004 this projection will be succeeded by a new work Dance with me, Germany, which deals with the power of the media, a foreign teenager's conflict with the law and, beyond that, the relationship between public and private force.
