Ludwig Windstosser

12.10.2019 to 23.02.2020
Museum für Fotografie

With around 200 photographs, this exhibition presents the first ever selection from the estate of Stuttgart photographer Ludwig Windstosser (1921–1983).

With his company portraits Windstosser became one of the leading industrial photographers of the post-war period in West Germany, yet he remains largely unknown today. Also on show will be urban and rural landscape shots, and the works for which Windstosser became known as a member of the fotoform and subjektive fotografie groups, which influenced the visual language of post-war avant-garde photography.

A special exhibition by the Kunstbibliothek – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin
