Four Staatliche Museen zu Berlin venues are taking part in the Jugendkulturkarte (Youth Culture Card) programme: Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, the Museum für Fotografie (Museum of Photography), the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Neues Museum.
Starting 1 February 2023, Berliners between the ages of 18 and 23 can pick up their Jugendkulturkarte at any one of over forty libraries after registering online at jugendkulturkarte.berlin. They then have a credit of 50 euros redeemable at many of Berlin’s cultural venues during the programme period until 30 April 2023.
The Jugendkulturkarte is an invitation to young Berliners to rediscover Berlin’s cultural richness in an entirely new way following the restrictions of the last few years and to do it together, regardless of their financial means. The participating venues offer everything from classical theatre, contemporary art and photography to alternative concerts, dance performances, movies, DJ sessions and newcomer comedians.
