Wedding Dreams

28.09.2018 to 28.07.2019
Museum Europäischer Kulturen

The wedding – the big dream. For many people, the most important moment of their lives. What do these dreams look like? How are they created? How have they changed? Are all dreams fulfilled? And what does this all have to do with feelings?

In this exhibition, the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK) shows lived and unlived, past and present wedding dreams. They are as varied as people, cultures and religions and yet have an astonishing amount in common.

Dreams of young and old and those “in between”, dreams of princes, celebrities, artists and designers. This interactive exhibition with a varied events programme invites you to discover, share your stories and memories and dream.
