Network and partners

The Museum Europäischer Kulturen’s work primarily involves European cultural contacts as well as networking and cooperation with national and international partners. Our participation in research projects and partnerships provides us with an interdisciplinary network of museums and institutions.

We are continually expanding this network through our scholarly exchange with colleagues and through collaborations including exhibitions and events. In this way, we maintain contact with museums throughout Europe as well as in Japan, South Korea, and the United States.

We also participate in a number of specialist and professional associations. It is our intention to support and exchange with junior museum researchers through university partnerships, such as joint seminars and collaborative projects.

In keeping with our theme "Europe in Berlin", we see ourselves as a forum for intercultural encounters. We work closely with various interest groups and European cultural institutions in Berlin, such as the society for Italian women in Germany "Rete Donne e.V.", the association founded by Barbara Caveng "KUNSTASYL e.V.", and the experts’ association "…textil..e.V.".
