At the start of every summer, the Fête de la Musique – the Festival of Music – brings people together in 540 cities right around the world. On this musical evening in the picturesque gardens of the Museum Europäischer Kulturen in Dahlem, visitors can let their hair down and dance along to the following bands:

5 p.m. – The Stylz

The diverse musical lineage of The Stylz spans acoustic singer-songwriters, mainstream pop music, as well as hard rock, metal and punk.

6 p.m. – Querbeet

Querbeet plays klezmer and much, much more, with multiple instruments and voices that provide audiences with an ever-shifting tapestry of sound.

7:30 a.m. – Spielhagen

Urban, intoxicating, and with a deluge of voices, SPIELHAGEN are breaking new ground with their refreshing and courageous concept, pioneering a new movement in choral music. They perform well-known pop and dance songs from the radio in a new remix of four-part harmonies, energetic performances, and club-like instrumental accompaniments to their 14 singers.

8 p.m. – Khalil Kry

Khalil’s German lyrics provide a glimpse into the musician’s vibrant mental world. Even though it can be tough to tell the difference between fiction and reality, just thinking about them is a load of fun.

9 p.m. – Fuente Pública

Fuente Pública is a seven-person instrumental group. Their songs are soundscapes that meld elements of folk, jazz and classical music with traditional musical styles, such as klezmer, son cubano and flamenco.
