Museum Berggruen

The Museum Berggruen's new extension, which opened in March 2013, has been forced to close its doors temporarily, due to defects in construction work.

The museum's main building, the western Stülerbau, remains fully open to the public and features the permanent collection display of works by Pablo Picasso and a small exhibition on the life of collector Heinz Berggruen. The most important works by Matisse and Giacometti, currently on show in the new extension, will be rehoused in the main building for the duration of construction. The approximately 70 works from the Berggruen Collection by Paul Klee will go on display in the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg, directly opposite. A joint admission ticket, valid for both Charlottenburg sites of the Nationalgalerie, has been on offer from 1 April 2013 (priced: €10/concessions €5; online purchases €9/conc. €4.50).

The partial closure of the Museum Berggruen will begin on Monday, 28 October 2013.
