Discounted admission for customers of German savings banks (Sparkassen) and the Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg

For the entire year of 2018, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin are offering customers of all German savings banks (Sparkassen) and the Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg a 25% price reduction on all tickets to exhibitions at their 15 museums.

The offer is part of the cooperation between the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and their key sponsor, the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Two anniversaries provide the occasion for the promotional pricing: The Berliner Sparkasse is turning 200 years old, and the Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg is celebrating 300 years since its founding.

‘We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Berliner Sparkasse and the Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg on their anniversaries’, says Michael Eissenhauer, Director-General of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. ‘We hope that their customers and customers of other German savings banks will see the promotional pricing as a happy occasion to visit our museums.’

The Sparkassen-Kulturfonds of the Deutsche Sparkassen- und Giroverband and the Berliner Sparkasse have been vital sponsors since 2011, and the Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg has provided support since 2017, giving funding to selected exhibition projects, cultural education projects and publicity initiatives of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Germany’s largest museum association.

German savings bank customers can use the promotional pricing from 1 January until 31 December 2018 by presenting their Sparkasse card, and Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg customers will receive their own card to present for discounts. The discounts are available for repeated visits over the course of the year and apply for all Staatliche Museen zu Berlin museums: Alte Nationalgalerie, Altes Museum, Neues Museum, Bode-Museum and Pergamonmuseum on Berlin’s Museum Island, the Gemäldegalerie, Kunstbibliothek, Kunstgewerbemuseum and Kupferstichkabinett at the Kulturforum, and Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin, Museum Berggruen, Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg, Museum für Fotografie, Museum Europäischer Kulturen and Schloss Köpenick as well.

The discount includes all special exhibitions and collection displays at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin museums. It does not apply for entry to events.
