The Münzkabinett has opened a public study room at the Bode-Museum on the Museumsinsel Berlin, very close to the location of its main exhibition. Entry is free of charge.

In the study room you can use the special numismatic library (books are presented by a supervisor, reference library, no lending) and information on numismatic related inquiries can be obtained.

If you register in advance, it is also possible to have collection items presented that are not shown in the exhibitions. Please note that the following regulations do apply:

• For organizational reasons, your request to study collection objects must be made in advance (at least 14 days before your planned visit). Please wait for our response to your request.
• Please bring your valid ID card, passport or driving license with you to register.
• We ask for your understanding that access to collection items is only possible subject to the preservation of the objects, the availability of the responsible staff and for a limited selection of objects as well as against the background of a scientifically justified request.

The study room is under video surveillance (legal basis Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. e DSGVO).
