While the Gemäldegalerie presents Italian 'Renaissance Faces' in the major show in the Bode Museum, the Kupferstichkabinett has unveiled a selection of Renaissance portraits from the North in a one-room, 'cabinet' exhibition in the Gemäldegalerie.

The exquisite works, all taken from our own collection, include several fascinating portrait drawings by Albrecht Dürer. Together they illustrate the various styles in the art of portraiture that also evolved north of the Alps parallel to the development of the art of portraiture in Italy in the 15th and early 16th century.
