The conference and performance programme seeks to open up new perspectives on storytelling, narrativisations of history and their embodiment in performative arts and practices in Southeast Asia. Over the course of two days, artists such as Julia Sarisetiati (ruangrupa, Gudskul), Arahmaiani, Ho Rui An and Korakrit Arunanondchai will enter into dialogue with cultural workers, scholars and curators such as Cosmin Costinaş, Patrick D. Flores, and David Teh. A cooperation between Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin and the Cluster of Excellence 2020 "Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective" at Freie Universität Berlin, supported by the Goethe-Institut Southeast Asia.
