Restricted Use of the Study Room in the Kupferstichkabinett from 23 June 2020

On Tuesday 23 June, the study room in the Kupferstichkabinett will reopen to the public.

From 23 June 2020, the study room in the Kupferstichkabinett will be open from 9 am to 4 pm, Tuesday to Friday. Users must register their visit in advance. Please send your reservation request to: kk[at]smb.spk-berlin.de, along with your choice of one of the following time slots:

  • Time slot 1: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Time slot 2: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

You will receive written confirmation of your reservation via email. Please note that you can only visit the reading room with a confirmed reservation.

Please note: When reserving your slot, please let us know which artworks you would like us to have ready for you. Please be aware that the number of works we can provide per time slot is limited.

Hygiene and Safety Measures

  • When visiting the reading room, visitors must follow all current social distancing and hygiene recommendations, and not be displaying any symptoms typical of COVID-19.
  • Please do not come in if you are displaying symptoms of an acute respiratory illness.
  • For the safety of both visitors and staff members, in the public areas of the buildings (foyer, stairwell, lift) you must wear a cloth face covering over both your nose and mouth at all times.
  • Please wash your hands once you have entered the building and dropped off your belongings at the cloak room.
  • For the safety of all concerned, you must enter the reading room one at a time.
  • Maintain a distance of at least 1.5m to other people at all times.
