Admission Price Adjustments and Access Changes for Several Museums Starting in Autumn 2025

In autumn 2025, moderate price increases will be implemented for admission prices at several Staatliche Museen zu Berlin museum venues, and the access to the Neues Museum is changing at the same time.

Admission Price Adjustments

• Kulturforum
  As of 1 October 2025, the price for the Kulturforum Ticket, valid for all exhibitions and museums at that location, including the Gemäldegalerie (Old Masters Paintings), Kunstbibliothek (Art Library), Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts), Kupferstichkabinett (Prints and Drawings Museum), Neue Nationalgalerie and the Musikinstrumentenmuseum (Museum of Musical Instruments), is increasing slightly from 20 euros to a regular price of 22 euros / 11 euros reduced. Months ago, the ticket price for the Neue Nationalgalerie venue went up from 16 to 20 euros.
• Alte Nationalgalerie
  The ticket price for the Alte Nationalgalerie venue, when including the special exhibition “The Scharf Collection: Goya – Monet – Cézanne – Bonnard – Grosse”, is increasing from 14 euros to 16 euros as of 24 October. Without the special exhibition, the future regular admission price for the Alte Nationalgalerie will be 14 euros instead of 12 euros. This increase brings the Alte Nationalgalerie in line with the other venues on Museum Island, where venue tickets already cost 14 euros.
• Friedrichswerdersche Kirche (Friedrichswerder Church)
  At the turn of the year from 2025 to 2026, an admission price of 6 euros (3 euros reduced) will be charged at the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche. An exact date for this charge cannot be given yet, as the technical prerequisites must first be met.
• Collections of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin at the Humboldt Forum
  Starting on 3 October, admission will be charged for the exhibitions of the Ethnologisches Museum (Ethnological Museum) and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst (Asian Art Museum) at the Humboldt Forum.

Change in Access to the Neues Museum

• As of 7 October, the Kolonnadenhof (Colonnaded Courtyard) entrance to the Neues Museum can only be used with a valid admission ticket. Thereafter, the main entrance to the Neues Museum with all its service functions is the James-Simon-Galerie.
