Until 26 March 2026 Joseph Beuys. Works from the Nationalgalerie Collection will remain closed due to installation work for the exhibition Shilpa Gupta. What Still Holds in the Kleihueshalle.
Art and literature meet in the Crossroads# events series: Writers come together with painters, sculptors with authors, and multimedia artists with poets, as their paths cross at the museum. Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, once a railway station, then a transport museum, is now a museum of contemporary art situated on the former border between East and West Berlin. Hamburger Bahnhof views itself as a hub and transit area for shaping future perspectives.
Since 2025, the Literaturhaus Berlin also visits Hamburger Bahnhof on its Li-Be für die Stadt tour. Crossroads# offers the opportunity for creative people from various disciplines and backgrounds to come together to inspire new societal goals – a key characteristic of art as well as of Berlin.
Admission to all events is free of charge, no registration required.
The event series is curated by Mathilda Legemah, Institutional Development Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, in collaboration with the Literaturhaus Berlin.
The event series is funded by Hamburger Bahnhof International Companions
