Body-Opera addresses the physical relationship between the senses and sound; it also references how cultural institutions limit the listener’s perception by replicating the established model of experiencing music, namely by sitting down, listening and watching. This opera installation is dedicated to the audience. It explores the relationship between the human body and sound while making the participant aware of the physicality of music’s main component.
Body-Opera combines different genres and disciplines to offer a more holistic way of perceiving art in general, and listening in particular. Here, sound can be heard, but also felt, sensed and even touched in an immersive way.
Performances at 4:30 and 6:30 pm.
