Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart
From February 2024, Hamburger Bahnhof will be bringing internationally acclaimed artists to Berlin on the first Saturday of every month at 3 pm and inviting them to a conversation with the audience. The artists who are part of the Nationalgalerie's collection, or have exhibited in the museum will discuss their artistic careers and the Berlin art scene within a global context.
The series offers Berlin audiences the opportunity to experience first-hand internationally influential artists in person. The series is reservation and admission free.
“In Conversation” begins on Saturday, 3 February 2024 with the artist and activist Tania Bruguera (born 1968), who shortly after presents her performance “Where Your Ideas Become Civic Actions (100 Hours Reading The Origins of Totalitarianism)” at Hamburger Bahnhof. The performance consists of a 100-hour continuous reading of the seminal text by Hannah Arendt in the museum’s historical hall, from Friday, 7 February to Sunday, 11 February 2024.
The series “In Conversation” will be will be moderated by members of the Hamburger Bahnhof curatorial team and is admission free.
