Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart
Berlin Beats, Hamburger Bahnhof's successful open-air electronic music series, will enter into its second round next summer, kicking off on 29 February 2024 from 7 to 10 pm. Berlin Beats is hosting a winter listening session in the museum's historic hall with a DJ set by Ghostpoet. Admission to the event is free.
Hamburger Bahnhof celebrates Berlin’s electronic music culture with the open-air concert series “Berlin Beats” in the museum’s garden. The first edition from June to August 2023 featured 12 acts and attracted more than 50,000 visitors. After the kick-off event on February 27, 2024, the second edition will begin on Friday, June 7, 2024 on the occasion of the admission-free Open House weekend and will take place on twelve summer evenings until August 29, 2024. The music of the participating Berlin artists ranges from experimental sounds to hard beats and reflects the vibrancy of the city.

Dr Obaro Ejimiwe aka Ghostpoet is an Artist and a Mercury Prize nominated British singer, songwriter and musician. Currently based in Berlin, Dj’ing has become his way to archive, hip activate and eulogise music from the African continent and its Diaspora around the world.
The exhibitions are open until 8 pm and are accessible with a valid museum ticket. The event will be accompanied by a food and drink offer.
“Berlin Beats” 2024 is curated by Charlotte Knaup, curator at Hamburger Bahnhof, and coordinated by Angelika Jaros.
