The Botticelli Renaissance: Time-slot tickets and guided tours are bookable online


The Gemäldegalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin presents the exhibition highlight of the year: 'The Botticelli Renaissance', on show from 24 September 2015 to 24 January 2016. Time-slot tickets and guided tours are bookable online at Flexi tickets have been on sale since mid-January.

Time-slot tickets save you from waiting in the queue at the ticket desk on the day and, depending on availability, can be booked, with just a few simple clicks online, up to a day in advance of your planned visit. Each time-slot ticket is valid for a half-hour time period, during which you must enter the exhibition. The length of time you wish to spend in the exhibition after that is up to you. Time-slot tickets also grant you access to the Gemäldegalerie's permanent exhibition. The tickets cost €14, or €7 for concessions.

Flexi tickets are valid over a three-day period of your choosing. You can decide on the exact date and time of your visit anytime during the 3-day period. Admission is also granted without you having to queue. Admission to the Gemäldegalerie's permanent exhibition is also included in the price. Flexi tickets cost €24 for the days of the week, Tuesday to Thursday, and €28 for the weekend period, Friday to Sunday.

Group tours, which are always booked in advance, guarantee the group admission at the selected time, without them having to wait in the queue. The tours last 60 minutes and cost €90 in German, plus admission, or €100, plus admission, in other available languages. The size limit for each group tour is 25 people.

Public guided tours are held every day, Tuesdays to Sundays, at 4 p.m. An English-language tour is offered on the first Sunday of the month, at 2 p.m. The tours last 60 minutes, cost €4 euros per person, plus admission, and can only be booked online.

The exhibition 'The Botticelli Renaissance' casts the spotlight on the Florentine painter Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510) and his influence on art up to the present day. The exhibition features more than 130 works, including over 40 Botticelli originals and significant loans from all over the world. In addition to paintings, the exhibition also includes drawings, sculptures, photographs, videos, as well as fashion and design.

The exhibition is held in association with the Victoria and Albert Museum and is sponsored by the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the LOTTO-Stiftung Berlin, and the Kaiser Friedrich Museumsverein.
