01.08.2025
Kulturforum

Under the motto “Paradise”, the Kulturforum Berlin is being transformed on Sunday, 14 September 2025, for the fourth time into a central event space, both indoors and out – just for one day. The institutions located at the Kulturforum – the Gemäldegalerie (Old Master Paintings), Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings), Kunstbibliothek (Art Library), Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts), Neue NationalgalerieStaatliche Institut für Musikforschung (National Institute for Music Research), Ibero-Amerikanische Institut (Ibero-American Institute), Berliner Philharmonie (Berlin Philharmonic) and the St. Matthäus church – invite visitors to a public celebration for young and old. Tickets are available for purchase starting on 15 August 2025 via the Online Ticket Shop of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

A wide range of offers in all the Kulturforum venues invite visitors to come together, see, hear, try things out, join in and celebrate. The programme begins at noon. In addition to tours for children (aged 6+) and adults, there will be numerous family programmes and drop-in workshops featuring art and music offers. Concerts will take place both on the Philharmonic’s mobile VeloStage and inside the Ibero-Amerikanische Institut (IAI).

Annual pass holders and a guest receive free admission.

As always, children and teens under 18 receive free admission.

Communal Outdoor Highlights

Berlin’s longest table under the open sky entices visitors from 12 noon to 7 pm to enjoy a relaxed dining experience under the trees of the “Baumschule Kulturforum” (Kulturforum Arboretum). Those who don’t manage to bring along their own picnic can buy something to eat and drink from the food trucks surrounding Scharounplatz.

At 5 pm, all visitors, using bells they have brought with them, are welcome to join in a communal message of peace that will be sent out to the world. Anyone who does not have a bell will be provided with one on site - as long as stocks last. The participatory “Bells for Peace” performance takes place as part of the YOKO ONO: DREAM TOGETHER exhibition at the Neue Nationalgalerie.

This special event day is made possible with support from the LOTTO-Stiftung Berlin.
