Measures for the Digitization and Visualization of Object-Related Collections (MDVOS)

Measures for the Digitization and Visualization of Object-Related Collections (MDVOS) is a project organized by the Stiftung Humboldt Forum (SHF) together with the partner institutions of the Humboldt Forum: Humboldt University (HU), Stiftung Stadtmuseum, and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz . As part of the project, all partners digitize parts of their collections and make them accessible through a new web portal of the SHF.

The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin will focus on improving access to the collections of the Ethnologisches Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst. In addition to improving digitization work flows, more than 100,000 digital objects from the collections of the two museums will be made accessible online to the broader public.
