ReBoot Culture: Music Sessions at the Gemäldegalerie

The Gemäldegalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is participating in the second season of ReBoot Culture, a collaboration of YouTube Music, the digital music magazine DIFFUS, Google Arts & Culture and the Initiative Musik with various cultural institutions. Live concerts by Cloudy Jane and Lena&Linus recorded at the Gemäldegalerie are now available on YouTube.

Reboot Culture was initiated in 2021 to provide resources and a platform to the live performance branch, music industry and artists during the pandemic. The series aims to make people aware that the pandemic and energy crisis have confronted the live performance branch and artists and the cultural institutions with similar challenges. It seeks to promote interchange between renowned institutions and established as well as emerging musicians, and to bring the supposedly different worlds together to break down barriers between high and pop culture.

Cloudy June and Lena&Linus at the Gemäldegalerie

The singer-songwriter Cloudy June and the indie-pop duo Lena&Linus each recorded two songs at the Gemäldegalerie. There is also a behind-the-scenes video about the filming at the museum. The videos recorded at the Gemäldegalerie can be found on the YouTube playlist together with all the ReBoot Culture live sessions.

The ReBoot Culture sessions have been released on the selected artists’ YouTube channels as well as those of the respective institutions and DIFFUS music magazine. In addition to the Gemäldegalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, other participating institutions include the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, the Berlin Staatsoper and the Belvedere in Vienna.
