Bode-Museum
ReBoot Culture continues: The Gemäldegalerie began participating in January 2023, and now the Bode-Museum has also joined the collaboration of various cultural institutions with YouTube Music, the digital music magazine DIFFUS, Google Arts & Culture and Initiative Musik. The recorded live concerts by Tua and 01099 are now available on YouTube.
ReBoot Culture was initiated in 2021 to provide resources and a platform to the live performance branch, music industry and artists during the pandemic. The series aims to make people aware that the pandemic and energy crisis have confronted the live performance branch, artists and cultural institutions with similar challenges. It seeks to promote interchange between renowned institutions and established as well as emerging musicians, and to bring the supposedly different worlds together to break down barriers between high and pop culture.
For the third season of ReBoot Culture, producer, songwriter and singer Tua performed his new songs “Weit und blau” and “Dein Platz” in the Bode-Museum’s Basilica. “I think it’s very cool – a funny clash between this monumental building and the less monumental pop music”, said Tua in a behind-the-scenes video released simultaneously with the tracks. The Dresden rap crew 01099 presented their songs “VHS” and “S1” in the museum’s Great Dome.
The ReBoot Culture sessions have been released on the selected artists’ YouTube channels as well as those of the respective institutions and DIFFUS music magazine. In addition to the Bode-Museum and the Gemäldegalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, other participating institutions include the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, the Staatsoper Berlin, the Belvedere in Vienna and the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage site.
