With its monumental facade of columns, the Altes Museum already has the look of a temple. This tour will give insights into the architectural history of the museum – which was the first to open on the Museumsinsel, in 1830 – as well as introducing visitors to a selection of objects from the Antikensammlung (Collection of Classical Antiquities), whose holdings contain artworks from Ancient Greece to Imperial Rome

The exhibition "From Quality to Quantity. The World of Greek Clay Figurines“ (7.10.2022 to 4.1.2024) is included in the tour.
