Major exhibitions in 2015 and 2016

In 2015 the Gemäldegalerie (Gallery of Old Masters) focuses on the renowned artist Sandro Botticelli. Featuring loaned works from around the world, "The Botticelli Renaissance" sets out the process by which original Botticelli paintings came to acquire the status of brands. Aside from the space given to works by artists such as Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol and René Magritte, the show also takes a fresh look at the work of Botticelli the artist.

"The Botticelli Renaissance" runs from 24.9.2015 to 24.1.2016 in the Gemäldegalerie.

Another highlight will be "Impressionism - Expressionism. Turning Point in Art". This is the first time that a direct comparison has been made between the two art movements. The aim is to shed light on what they have in common and how they differ.

"ImEx. Impressionism - Expressionism. Turning Point in Art" runs from 22.5. to 20.9.2015 in the Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery).

"ONE GOD" can be viewed from 2.4. to 13.9.2015 in the Bode Museum.
