Get Away to the (Museum) Island! A Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Summer Programme Beginning on 7 July 2022

29.06.2022
Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung

It’s that time of year again: With its summer programme Get Away to the (Museum) Island!, the Staatliche Museen invites visitors to explore their museum buildings and collections from 7 July to 21 August 2022. The focus of the activities is Berlin’s Museumsinsel. Visitors begin their explorations from the Kolonnadenhof (Colonnaded Courtyard) and Haus Bastian.

In an outdoor setting with plenty of space, families and small groups learn about themes represented in the various collections. The Kolonnaden Bar invites the public to evening talks on the Museumsinsel. Activities are also offered at Hamburger Bahnhof, the Kulturforum, the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK, Museum of European Cultures) and the Museum für Fotografie (Museum of Photography). Events take place weekly and can be booked online. Most of the multiday workshops for children and teenagers start on Tuesdays.

We look forward to your visit, and it’s well worth coming more than once.

Get Away to the (Museum) Island! A Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Summer Programme is funded by the Kuratorium Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Board of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation).
