06.05.2022
Museum Europäischer Kulturen

From Monday, 16 May 2022, changes to the tickets and admission regulations take effect at the venues of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. Depending on the venue, either day or time-slot tickets are on offer for your visit. Day tickets allow visitors access any time during opening hours on the date of the ticket. At museums particularly popular with the public, time-slot tickets are still offered so that you can plan a wait-free visit.

Public Health Measures

From 11 May 2022 it is no longer compulsory to wear a mask covering mouth and nose. However, visitors aged 6 and over are advised to wear an FFP2 or medical face mask indoors at all venues. Unless otherwise stated, this regulation also applies to events.

On-Site and Online Tickets

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket counters on site or online. To ensure reliable planning of your visit and avoid waiting in line at the ticket counters, we recommend booking your tickets online in advance: www.smb.museum/tickets. Tickets may be purchased up to four weeks in advance.

Altered Regulations for Admission

It is only necessary for the holders of these cards and passes to book a free time-slot ticket in advance online or at the ticket counter on site for the following well-attended special exhibitions:

Holders of Combination Tickets are admitted directly. At venues with time-slot tickets, visitors require a free time-slot ticket, which can be booked in advance online or obtained at the ticket counter. Both tickets are to be presented at the entrance without being asked.

Visitors with admission exemption or a concession, as well as persons with tickets from marketing partners, are requested to obtain a free ticket at the ticket counter or to book one online and to present it at the entrance along with the corresponding ID without being asked. At venues with time-slot tickets, these visitors can obtain a free time-slot ticket in advance online or at the ticket counter.
