Please note: The collection of Romantic paintings will not be complete until the end of May 2025 due to various special exhibitions to mark Friedrich's anniversary year. This also applies to Caspar David Friedrich's ‘Monk by the Sea’, which will be on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from the beginning of January until the end of May.
