Marble, 68 x 56 x 32 cm, no inv. no.
The head of this bust was completely detached, the right shoulder damaged and the tip of the nose was missing. The edge of the neck where the head had broken off was uneven. The surface was heavily stained and in some places eroded by the elements. At some point, the bust must have been located outside and fallen over.
The bust was made fit for presentation with all the care due to a work with such a history. The surface was cleaned, giving the marble back its original, homogenous white appearance. The head was placed atop the neck and the join was filled in, and the tip of the nose reconstructed.
