A new selection from the rich treasure of the calligraphies in the illuminated Mughal albums will be on show. After an initial presentation of text fragment compositions, followed by the alphabets in the "ABC der Bilder" exhibition and at the Documenta in Kassel, on this occasion the focus is on calligraphies with congratulation messages and calligraphic writing exercises. In correspondence with the nature of the collection, most calligraphies are dedicated to profane texts; only a small number of outstanding text images refer to religious passages.
