The exhibition offers an international panorama of the 27 most important museum buildings of the present day. The greatest museum project of the 21st Century will reach its conclusion - the transformation of the Museum Island into a museum area of the future, opening up new, extra-European horizons in the Humboldt Forum on the site of the former royal palace opposite the Museum Island will be couched in a global architectural context. It will be possible to experience the 21st century as an era in which museum architecture is more than ever the engine of architectural progress and a source of inspiration for all kinds of buildings.
