Good product design involves much work and requires experience and skill. The initial idea, the design intent, evolves through a series of development stages and needs sufficient time to mature. This not-necessarily-linear process calls for significant analyses and instinct in order to make the right decisions at the right time.
WertelOberfell offer insights into their working process while developing some experimental designs on site at the KGM. Their focus is on iterative design work using 3D printers and CAD programmes, with visitors having the opportunity to see how a design develops from the initial idea to the final version.
Design Views is a new exhibtion series hosted by the Kunstgewerbemuseum and the International Design Zentrum Berlin.
