Ina Budde sets new standards in the rapidly changing fashion industry. The principles of circular economy run through her collection DfC X JNJ with impressive consistency – a feat that she was rewarded for with the Federal Ecodesign Award, in 2017. The fashion designer’s dedication for recycling-optimizing design principles and a fair production opposes the linear industrial ways of economy that lead to a high consumption of raw materials and enormous amounts of waste. Transparency and traceability of the materials and production, as well as the expansion of return-services and the development of new utilization concepts and distribution channels are important cornerstones of of Ina Budde’s work. In addition to the awarded collection the exhibition shows new recyclable designs by circular.fashion designer Alberte Laursen Rothenborg.
Design Views is an exhibition series developed between Kunstgewerbemuseum and the International Design Center Berlin.
