To the special exhibition "Lygia Clark. Retrospective"
Tunnel, 1968
Two people move from different sides through a narrow, flexible, 50 m long fabric tunnel. They have to crawl past each other to reach the exit on the other side. This creates a constricting feeling and evokes associations with a birth canal. If the participants feel too suffocated by the fabric, Clark cuts holes in the cloth through which they can breathe. This allows the people in the tunnel to receive help from the outside - a process that Clark also associates with childbirth.
Life structures, 1966
This net made of rubber bands is activated by a group. Several participants place their hands and feet, or their entire body, in the net at different points and move around the room. Every movement made by one person has an effect on all the others. Everyone is connected and the group feels like a collective body.
Participation is free of charge with a valid admission ticket.
The start and end times may change slightly.
