Buerie biejjie jïh buerie båeteme! In this course you will learn the first terms and idioms of South Sami and the special features of the language. You will learn how to introduce yourself and form simple sentences and questions. You will gain an insight into the grammatical peculiarities and South Sami in the context of its neighboring languages. At the same time, you will learn interesting facts about the history, culture and traditions of the Sámi and language policy. The course instructor Sophie Lutz is a teacher of South Sami in Norway, the course language is German. 

The course takes place in cooperation with the VHS Pankow - as part of the event series “Diversity Language”: Minority languages, endangered languages, rare languages and regional languages - to get to know!
