This year's research colloquium is dedicated to the topic “A closer look: (Re-)Examining the archaeological heritage of Sudan” with contributions on collection and museum work, remote sensing and the re-evaluation of archaeological finds and findings.

The colloquium is organised by the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Sudanarchäologische Gesellschaft zu Berlin (SAG) e.V., the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung (ÄMP-SMB) and the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI).

The conference will be held in English.

Free admission.
No registration required.

All lectures will take place in the auditorium of the James-Simon-Galerie and will be streamed.
