ON A NARROW RIDGE.
A PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP WITH ARTIST RAUL WALCH
Thu / 6.10.2022 / from 4.30 pm
Led by artist Raul Walch, in the workshop we will create and rework costumes and flags out of remnants from textile artworks. The fitting and assemblage take place during conversations about current topics related to circular economy. Will these newly conceived artistic ‘uniforms’ allow us to transform and metamorphize into a community? The outcome will then be presented and performed on the museum grounds.
Raul Walch (*1980) is a visual artist living and working in Berlin. After studying Sculpture at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee he completed his studies in the class of Olafur Eliasson at UdK, Berlin. Subsequently, he was a Fellow at the Institut für Raumexperimente. Walch often works in and with the public space. Working as a sculptor and conceptual artist, he just as naturally slips into the role of performer or researcher in his work. Raul Walch is represented with a work in the Balance exhibition.
