Speaker: Martha Mangira, Rathgen-Forschungslabor, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, SPK

The work of Martha Mangira, awardee of the Schorlarship of the Förderkreis des Rathgen-Forschungslabors, aimed at developing an HPLC method for the protein analysis in works of art tailored for the equipment of the Rathgen-Forschungslabor. Initially, a method was planned based on the literature (amino acid analysis). The next step included method optimization by increasing the selectivity and the resolution of the peaks deriving from the amino acids standards. Once optimized, the performance of the analysis of both, reference materials and real samples, follows.
