HAUCHDÜNN.

INTERVENTION BY ANA KAVALIS IN DIALOGUE WITH THE WORK INCISIVE BY EDUARDO BASUALDO

Thu / 5.1.2022 / 5.30 pm

HAUCHDÜNN (PAPER-THINN) is an act of listening. Drawing on the simplicity of being, silence, subtle touches, and simply walking, the dialogue with Eduardo Basualdo's installation Incisive (2016) explores relationships and perspectives in relation to time, body, and space. Basualdo's room-sized drawing on gauzy paper connects physical space, where our bodies move, with mental space, where we think. As new acquisition for the National Gallery's collection, the work is currently on view as part of the exhibition Under Construction. The intervention is at the invitation of the artist.

Ana Kavalis (* 1976 in Havana) is a Cuban-German performance artist who based in Berlin since 2004. Since 2007 she has been producing her own solo dance-theater performances as ISLA project. In parallel, Ana collaborates with different dance and theater groups from the independent scene in Berlin and abroad. Since 2019 she leads the Resonant Body Training for performers, actors and people interested in movement in several studios in Berlin.

Admission and participation are free of charge.
