HAUCHDÜNN.

INTERVENTION BY ANA KAVALIS IN DIALOGUE WITH THE WORK INCISIVE BY EDUARDO BASUALDO

Thu / 6.10.2022 / 5.30 pm

HAUCHDÜNN (PAPER-THINN) is actually not a performance, but an act of listening. Based on the simplicity of being, on silence, subtle touches and simply walking, the dialogue with the work Incisive (2016) explores different relationships and perspectives in relation to time, body and space. Basualdo's space-filling work, currently on view as part of the exhibition Under Construction, is a new acquisition for the National Gallery's collection. The intervention is at the invitation of the artist Eduardo Basualdo.

Ana Kavalis (* 1976 in Havana) is a Cuban-German performance artist who based in Berlin since 2004. Since 2007 she has been producing her own solo dance-theater performances as ISLA project. In parallel, Ana collaborates with different dance and theater groups from the independent scene in Berlin and abroad. Since 2019 she leads the Resonant Body Training for performers, actors and people interested in movement in several studios in Berlin.

Admission and participation are free of charge.

The COVID-19 regulations valid on the day of the event apply.
