Anhand ausgewählter Exponate von besonderer Strahlkraft führt Andreas Schalhorn, Kurator der Ausstellung, in die sieben Kapitel der Ausstellung ein. Die Rolle des Blauen Reiters in der Sammlung des Kupferstichkabinetts und die Entstehung der Ausstellung sind weitere Themen der Führung.
