Rudolf Belling is one of the best-known German artists of the modernist period. In 1919, he created one of the first abstract sculptures in art history with Dreiklang, a work which was inspired by the image of dancing figures. Influenced by Futurist and Constructivist ideas, his formal vocabulary became increasingly less tied to reality. In this tour, we will discover the artistic work of Rudolf Belling, which spans a wide range, comprising sculptures, portraiture, stage decorations, architectural sculptures, fountains, and building utopias.
