As the oldest institution at the National Museums, the Replica Workshop is founded on a set of principles that aims to preserve and expand knowledge. As a museum institution it has been collecting and archiving artworks from all epochs and cultures for a good 200 years, making them accessible to members of the public with an interest in art and to scholars and researchers. A tour through the building, the moulding workshop and the painting studio gives you an overview of our collection, the work we do and this illustrious tradition of manufacturing artworks.
Tours through the whole building:

We also offer afternoon appointments that include a live casting demonstration. Dates vary, please enquire. Price €5.
