| Thin section of Proconnesian marble under the polarizing microscope (with cross-polarized filters). Investigation for provenance studies of marble samples from the Umm Qeis archaeological site, Jordan. The study of the microstructure of the marble helps to identify its source: most probable the island of Proconnesus (modern Marmara, Turkey)
